European Parliament President to attend Tallinn Digital Summit
European Parliament President, Antonio Tajani, will travel to Estonia today to attend the informal dinner for Heads of State and Government ahead of the Tallinn Digital Summit on Friday.
President Tajani stated:
“We must fully exploit the opportunities generated by the digital revolution to foster growth, jobs and improve the efficiency of public services. Estonia, for instance, is a global model in e-government best practices and innovation.
“We need to invest in research, innovation, network infrastructure and training to ensure that workers will have the skills needed to adapt to the changes taking place. We also have to provide solutions on pressing issues such as unfair competition, taxation for online platforms, consumer protection, privacy, copyright and cybersecurity.”
