Schulz congratulates the new President of Germany Joachim Gauck

The President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz made the following statement on the election of new President of Germany Joachim Gauck:

"I congratulate the new German President Joachim Gauck on his election. I am sure Joachim Gauck will be an excellent President of Germany. I look forward to working with President Gauck and welcoming him to the European Parliament in due course.
