It assesses the progress made under this area on the basis of examining the activities carried out, and looks at the agreements reached on specific issues linked to the common spaces and the wider context of EU-Russia relations. Furthermore, the briefing addresses the main problems in the implementation of the common space on external security and examines opportunities for progress or the inclusion of new items in the various policy areas under the common space.
