Review of the Solvency II implementing measures
This briefing focuses on review of the implementing measures under Directive 2009/138/EC on the taking-up and pursuit of the business of Insurance and Reinsurance (Solvency II). Items for discussion include amendments to the Solvency II Delegated Regulation in the context of the Capital Markets Union and the review of the Solvency Capital Requirement standard formula, as well as the overall review of Solvency II.

This briefing focuses on the not yet delivered delegated acts under the Capital Requirements Directive 2013/36/EU (CRD IV) and the Capital Requirements Regulation (EU) 575/2013 (CRR) Both contain empowerments for the Commission to adopt ‘level 2’ measures (e.g. delegated acts and regulatory technical standards), the majority - but not all - have been completed to date.

The European Commission
