This note assesses the status of logistics and the way to achieve a performing multi-modal transport system on the TEN-T core network by making use of/improving existing policy instruments. It shows that interoperability of railways and multi-modal terminals are crucial issues along the nine corridors of the core network.

En este estudio se examina cómo pueden contribuir las actividades logísticas a mejorar la lucha contra el cambio climático. El análisis de las principales medidas para lograr una «logística verde», centrado en las mejores prácticas fundamentales asociadas, permite determinar las acciones más prometedoras que deberán desarrollar las instituciones europeas y el sector privado con el fin de reducir las emisiones de GEI.

En esta nota se analizan las tendencias recientes en el transporte de mercancías en la UE y se evalúa el enfoque actual de la UE para desarrollar un sistema de transporte de mercancías sostenible. The market environment for seaborne trade has changed considerably within the last 15 years. Globalisation, off-shoring and the unprecedented growth of containerisation have led to changes in maritime transport and logistics chains. This study aims at explaining the impact of these developments on seaports and at formulating recommendations for the European Parliament.
