03-10-2006

This Briefing Paper examines EU policies in external relations regarding freedom, security and justice focussing on three diverse countries in Asia - China, India and Afghanistan. The internal stability and security of the EU is inextricably linked to the security and development of countries elsewhere in the world. As such, the EU must develop a proper understanding of the problems and challenges facing these countries and how best to identify and implement strategies to assist them.
