On 19th June, professor Simon Hix, Head of the Department of Government and lecturer in Comparative and European Politics at the London School of Economics, gave his analysis on the European Election results at the European Parliament Office in Edinburgh.

Christina McKelvie MSP, Convener of the European and External Relations Committee at the Scottish Parliament, introduced the event.

Professor Hix focused his analysis on the results in Scotland, the UK and across the EU and the implications of these. Professor Hix identified several electoral trends across the EU and highlighted what these trends meant for the European Parliament going forward.
