Information Day on the Polish Presidency of the EU

To mark the Polish Presidency of the EU starting on 1 July 2011, the Consulate-General of the Republic of Poland organised an Information Day on 2 July at St Andrew's Square in Edinburgh. The event took the form of public stands which provided a range of materials about the EU, its institutions and Poland to passers-by and visitors. The European Parliament Information Office in Edinburgh was among the stall-holders. It was accompanied by an extensive programme of cultural events, comprising traditional and contemporary music, dance, artistic workshops, children's activities and food tasting. The Information Day proved to be a huge success.
