Per grew up in the west Swedish region of Värmland and studied Law, psychology and German at the University of Göteborg before moving to Germany to complete a post-graduate programme at the European Institute of Saarland University.
Having started his career as a trainee Judge in the Swedish courts he moved to Brussels where he worked as an EU-affairs consultant before joining the European Civil Service. After 5 years in the European Commission and the European Data Protection Supervisor he is delighted to work for the European Parliament in Edinburgh as Head of Office.
Per speaks Swedish, English, German, French, Norwegian and Danish. After office hours you will often find him somewhere on the football pitch, on the ice rink or attending rock concerts. He also enjoys spending time with his family and travelling.

Helen was born in Inverness, grew up in Morayshire and graduated with a MA in European Studies from Aberdeen University. After graduation, she moved to Brussels to work for the European Trade Union Confederation, but in 2005 was recruited to work in the European Parliament in DG Internal Policies.
Since then she has also gained experience in the European Commission, as well as the European External Action Service and, after more than 10 years in Brussels, was thrilled at the opportunity to return home to Scotland in May 2013 to take up the position of Communications Assistant.
Helen speaks French, German and Spanish and enjoys travelling, photography and yoga.

Harald was born in the triangle of Austria, Germany and former Czechoslovakia and grew up between Linz and Salzburg in Upper Austria. After Commercial College and several years in the private sector, he was recruited by the European Commission in 1996 shortly after Austria joined the EU. Harald obtained his degree in Economics from FernUniversität Hagen.
He worked in different Commission services in Brussels, Karlsruhe and Luxembourg mostly in the financial domain and took up the position of Communications Assistant in January 2015. He is very eager to support the European Parliament's efforts to disseminate information in Scotland.
Harald speaks German, English, French and Dutch. He enjoys spending time with his family, as well as travelling and outdoor pursuits.

Eddie grew up in East Lothian before moving to study Politics in Glasgow, where he graduated with an MA in History and Politics and later an MSc in International Relations. He worked at an energy company for a few years before making the move to Brussels to pursue an international career in political communications and has worked there for the United Nations Regional Information Centre and the European Policy Centre.
He returned to the Edinburgh Office of the European Parliament in July 2016 following a stint as a trainee in 2015 and is excited to be working back in Scotland, engaging with and informing the public about the European Parliament's work.

Our newest trainee Marina was born in Barcelona and has an extensive background in journalism. She completed her first BA degree in the subject in 2015 while also working with a digital newspaper, covering social issues. She seeks to raise social consciousness through her articles and has a burning passion for international affairs, which led her to undertake an MA degree in International Politics Journalism last year. Shortly after graduating she moved to London, where she completed a reporting traineeship with the Catalan News Agency before joining us in Edinburgh.
Marina speaks Catalan, Spanish, English and French. When she is not working, she collaborates with several publications in Catalonia. She also enjoys playing volleyball, travelling and listening to music.
