MEPs return to Brussels for 2 days of committee meetings.

Committee highlights:

Exchange of views with Commissioner Georgieva and Votes
On 30-31.01.12  the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety will hold an exchange of views with Commissioner Georgieva on the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. Members will also vote on the following reports:
- roadmap for a low carbon economy. Rapporteru: Chris DAVIES (North West, LibDem)
- sulphur content of marine fuels (Satu HASSI (Verts/ALE, FI)

EU-Gulf Cooperation Council relations
The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani will address the Committee on Foreign Affairs on 31.01.12 at 10.00. This meeting will provide an opportunity for Members to discuss EU-GCC relations and the regional role of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
