MEPs return to Brussels on Monday 21st July for a week of Committee meetings. There will be no more official meetings until September. Bonnes vacances!
Highlights of the agenda
Italian ministers will set out and discuss the various aspects of the current Presidency programme with MEPs in the committees concerned. (Tuesday-Wednesday)
Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).
After the conclusion of the 6th round of talks on Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), MEPs in the Committee on International Trade will quiz Commissioner Karel De Gucht on its outcome and other aspects of EU trade policy. (Tuesday)
EU Budget 2015.
MEPs in the Committee on Budgets will discuss the Council's position on the draft 2015 EU budget and EP negotiators will report on the recent trialogue on how to bridge payment gaps in the 2014 budget. (Wednesday)
Fruit and milk in schools.
Plans to improve the effectiveness of EU-funded distribution of healthy food in schools through the School Milk Scheme and the School Fruit Scheme will be debated in the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. (Wednesday)
LUX Film Prize finalists.
The three finalist films competing for the 8th LUX Prize will be unveiled on Tuesday at 11.30.
