TTIP, Flight safety and Anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and hate speech- this week in the European Parliament
MEPs return to Brussels on 29th June for a mixed week of Committee and Political Group meetings ahead of the Plenary next week.
TTIP. The International Trade Committee will vote on whether 116 amendments to Parliament’s draft recommendations to EU Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership should be put to a plenary vote. These amendments were referred back to the committee after the June plenary vote on the recommendations was postponed. (Monday)
Flight safety. Following the crash of a Germanwings plane in the French Alps in March the Transport Committee will debate aviation safety rules with the European Aviation Safety Authority and the European Commission (Monday)
Anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and hate speech. The Civil Liberties Committee Members will debate discrimination, violence and hate speech against Muslims and Jews with experts and civil society organisations. (Monday)
