Russia and Ukraine to top this Parliament’s last debate with Catherine Ashton

EU action vis-à-vis Russia in response to recent events in Crimea, its aid to Ukraine and the need to better coordinate EU foreign policy are set to top this Parliament’s last pre-election plenary debate with EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Thursday. This debate, starting at 8:30, will be followed by another, with Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas, on the EU’s future strategy towards Iran, against the backdrop of ongoing talks on its nuclear programme.

MEPs will vote resolutions on the EU’s comprehensive approach to its external policies and on the EU strategy towards Iran on Thursday at 11.30.
