Location: committee Rooms, Aberdeen City Library, Aberdeen
As part of the Enterprise Europe Network, Enterprise Europe Scotland is the local entry point to a wealth of information on business opportunities throughout Europe.
This European Information Clinic, run in partnership with Europe Direct Aberdeen, will allow Scottish companies to meet with a member of the team on a one-to-one basis, who will be fielding questions, answering queries and providing guidance and support on a variety of different European topics:
European Market Information
We will gather a brief on the information a company requires to help them gain a clearer picture of their sector in other European markets. This can include market trends, trade statistics, industry contacts, investment incentives, competitors etc.
EU Legislation and Standards
A great deal of EU Legislation can affect Scottish businesses, from Employment directives, to product safety requirements and environmental legislation.
Accessing public sector contracts
We can provide general information on the European Public Procurement process and inform companies how to access tenders and bid for public sector contracts.
Building commercial partnerships
Through our Business Co-operation Database, companies can advertise their unique business co-operation requests in specific target countries throughout Europe, helping them to identify potential manufacturers, distributors, agents, sub-contractors and joint venture partners.
We can discuss the various European programmes for grants and funding that are available including collaborative R&D grants such as FP7 and Eurostars.
Feeding your complaints on trade in the EU back to Brussels
We will submit feedback from Scottish companies on problems they have faced while trading in the EU directly to the European Commission.
Knowledge and Technology Transfer
We can help promote innovative technology or products in order to find suitable partners across Europe for further development or joint ventures and strategic alliances. Technology profiles also allow companies to find new technologies or products that can offer commercial value and growth opportunities.
Pan-European Brokerage Events
We will help companies identify match-making events and trade fairs for their sector in other European countries.
