Foreign Policy Centre's Edinburgh event will be the final in a series of events taking place around the country as part of a new project between the Foreign Policy Centre and the European Commission Representation in the United Kingdom. It seeks to explore the impact the new coalition government is having on the UK's relationship with EU institutions and other member states and on the dynamics of the European debate within the main parties. The panel will examine the potential internal and external challenges and opportunities facing the coalition on European issues, while addressing any impact electoral defeat has made to the Labour Party's long-term approach to the EU, given perceived problems over Lisbon ratification and EU migration.

The event is free and open to all. Light refreshments will be provided.
