The Lisbon Treaty: One Year On

The European Parliament Information Office in Edinburgh is pleased to announce it will be hosting a seminar entitled 'The Lisbon Treaty: One Year On' on Friday 25 February.

Dr Michael Shackleton, Head of the UK Office of the European Parliament, will outline the key changes that have occurred in the European Parliament and European Union more generally, since the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty just over a year ago.  This will be followed by a discussion on this topic, focussing in particular on how these changes impact Scottish organisations in their relationships with the EU.  After the seminar, James Temple-Smithson will make a short presentation on the activities of the European Parliament Office in Edinburgh in 2011.

The Seminar will be held on Friday 25 February at The European Parliament Office in Edinburgh, The Tun, 4 Jackson's Entry, Holyrood Road, Edinburgh EH8 8PJ from 11.00-12.30.  Coffee will be available from 10.30 and there will be a sandwich lunch after the event.
