Is globalisation leaving Northern Ireland's young people behind? Is more Europe the answer? - Belfast, 4 April

The European Parliament invites you to an evening of debate to discuss this with the award-winning TV & radio presenter, Connor Phillips.

There will also be comedy with Tim McGarry. Hashtag for the evening #ReactNI

The evening will start with drinks and a finger buffet.

Northern Ireland has the highest unemployment rate in the UK.  Our economy has been badly hit by the global recession.

Could the EU help Northern Ireland’s young unemployed?  Or should Europe get out of the way?

Do local politics still dictate Northern Ireland's economic fortunes; or is the future global?  Could Northern Ireland provide the entrepreneurs needed to build the next Silicon Valley?

These are the sorts of questions we should be asking when the people of Northern Ireland go to vote in the European elections this May.
