The European Parliament and the Hungarian National Assembly, Országgyűlés, organized a JPM in Brussels on 13 and 14 April 2011. The meeting focused on "Western Balkans - towards a more integrated Europe" and the discussion was held in plenary and in two working groups.

The first working group on "Co-operation in the area of freedom, security and justice" focused on questions related to borders, visa and migration issues, as well as judicial and police cooperation. The second working group,  entitled "Integration of Citizens", highlighted the interrelated issues of cultural diversity and the progress of the integration process, as well as educational aspects of the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU.

The JPM was co-chaired by the President of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, and the President of the Hungarian National Assembly, László Kövér.
