Debate with the participation of national Parliaments, Brussels, 23 April 2012

On 23 April 2012 the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs will hold a debate with Anders Fogh Rasmussen, NATO Secretary General on the current and future challenges of NATO in fostering global networks and enhancing its relations with the EU. Participation to the debate has been extended to the Chairpersons of the equivalent committees in national Parliaments. Following this debate, participants in this meeting will have the chance to exchange views with Vygadaudas Ušackas, Special Representative and Head of the EU Delegation to Afghanistan and Claude-France Arnould, Chief Executive of the European Defence Agency (EDA), on the EU role in Afghanistan and on the pooling and sharing in the Defence Sector and the role of the EDA, respectively.
