The preparation of the XLV COSAC meeting, which focused on the implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the EU economic governance and the elaboration of the Commission Work Programme for the coming year, was one of the main points on the agenda of the COSAC Chairpersons' meeting. It took place in Budapest on 10 and 11 February.

The meeting also included a presentation by Mr. János Martonyi, Hungarian Foreign Minister, on the priorities of the Hungarian EU Presidency. There was also a debate with Mr. Maroš Šefčovič, European Commission Vice-President responsible for Inter-Institutional Relations and Administration, on the Commission Work Programme for 2011.
