Review of European and National Elections 2019-2024

The European Parliament's 'Review of European and National Election Results' is the most complete and comprehensive database available covering developments in the political spectrum across the EU. Produced and published by DG COMM/s Public Opinion Monitoring Unit, it traces back election results and the composition of the European Parliament to its first direct election in 1979. The Review also offers a constantly updated overview of national elections in all EU Member States. Due to its comprehensive nature and the amount of data assembled, the Review is an invaluable source of information and a reference on the composition of the European Parliament.

The Brexit edition (February 2020) provides an update on the composition of the European Parliament with data on the 27 new Members from 14 Member States who joined Parliament after the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the EU on 31 January 2020, leading to this redistribution of seats.

The mid-term edition (March 2022) takes stock of changes in the hemicycle composition since the past European Elections, and covers the results of national and presidential elections held in the Member States since then.

Finally, the end-of-term edition (May 2024) is closing this legislature.
