Дадена комисия може да организира изслушване с участието на експерти, когато това е от съществено значение за нейната работа по дадена тема. Изслушванията също могат да се провеждат съвместно от две или повече комисии. On 13 February 2024, from 15:00 to 16:15, the FISC Subcommittee hosted a public hearing on “Tackling Tax Obstacles in the Internal Market and the Role of Tax Policies in Promoting Economic Growth”. Experts presented their views and discuss with FISC Members on how to address remaining tax-related obstacles and distortions in the Single Market.
On 23 January 2024, from 15:00 to 16:30, the FISC Subcommittee hosted a public hearing on “Capital Gains Taxation in the EU”. The purpose of the hearing was to discuss the potential risks posed by free movement of capital for aggressive tax planning and evasion and investigate potential measures at EU level to tackle this issue.
On 19 September 2023, from 15:00 to 16:30, the FISC Subcommittee hosted a public hearing on “New EU common system for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax abuse in the area of withholding taxes”.
On 17 July 2023, from 15:00 to 16:15, the FISC Subcommittee hosted a public hearing on „Tackling the Role of Enablers Involved in Facilitating Tax Evasion and Aggressive Tax Planning in the European Union (SAFE)”. The purpose of this hearing was to discuss the role of enablers in facilitating tax evasion and aggressive tax planning with a view to an upcoming proposal by the European Commission.
On 27 June 2023, from 15:00 to 16:30, the FISC Subcommittee hosted a public hearing on “The role of tax incentives in achieving EU policy goals”. While they come in many shapes and forms (accelerated depreciations, carry-forwards of losses...), tax incentives for businesses are mostly introduced to support either wider economic objectives (growth, job creation, the need to attract foreign direct investment) or specific policies (such as the energy transition).
On 23 May 2023, from 15:00 to 16:30, the FISC Subcommittee hosted a public hearing on “The role of tax policy in controlling inflation and promoting sustainable growth in the context of economic recovery”.
On 25 April 2023, from 15:00 to 16:45, the FISC Subcommittee hosted a public hearing on “The Work of National Tax Authorities: Resources, Strategies, Cooperation”.
On 28 March 2023, the FISC Subcommittee had a public hearing on “Case studies on member states national tax policies - Germany: implemented national tax reforms and the combat against aggressive tax schemes”
On 25 January 2023, from 15:00 to 16:30, the FISC Subcommittee had a public hearing on "What should the Business in Europe: Framework for Income Taxation (BEFIT) proposal look like?"
On 09 January 2023, from 17:00 to 18:30, the FISC Subcommittee hosted a public hearing on "Potential Distortions of the Single Market due to Personal Income Tax: challenges for SMEs and risks of harmful tax competition". The transformation of the way how we work through digitalization and globalization has been accelerated during the COVID19 pandemic and has led to a significant increase of remote working. These developments have also created new challenges in the area taxation.
