The reform of the Code of Conduct Group criteria and process
Altiero Spinelli (ASP) 1G3 and visio conference
Following an exchange of views on 19 April with Lyudmila Petkova, Chair of the Code of Conduct Group, the FISC Subcommittee held a public hearing on “The reform of the Code of Conduct Group criteria and process” from 15:00-16:15 (CET).
The hearing presents a constructive opportunity for the FISC Subcommittee to hear the expert views of Prof. Sol Picciotto and Prof. Ana Paula Dourado on what is needed for the long-awaited reform of the Code of Conduct Group to be successful in their objective to curb harmful tax practices within and outside the European Union. The experts' presentations will be followed by an exchange with Members of the FISC Subcommittee. The expert views and the subsequent discussion will feed into the upcoming FISC report on "Reforming the EU policy on harmful tax practices (including the reform of the Code of Conduct Group)".
