Adding Gender-Based Violence as new ‘eurocrime’ - final vote - 14.06.2021

On 14 July, the FEMM and LIBE committees voted on the draft report on “Identifying gender-based violence as a new area of crime listed in Article 83(1) TFEU”
This legislative initiative requests the Commission to propose a Council decision to consider gender-based violence as an area of crime that meets the criteria established under Article 83(1) TFEU.
401 amendments had been tabled to the draft report and the co-rapporteurs had proposed 42 compromise amendments.
