On the 29th of November, the Commissioner for Energy, Ms Kadri Simson, briefed the ITRE Members on the latest developments related to the energy crisis in the Union, including on the state of play of the latest emergency Council Regulations and on energy policy matters expected in the foreseeable future.

On the 28th of November, Members held the yearly exchange of views with the Director of the Agency for Cooperation of Energy Regulators, Mr Christian Zinglersen, on the Market Monitoring Report and discuss ongoing matters affecting the regulatory framework of the Union’s energy market.

On the 14th of November, the ITRE Committee held an exchange of views with Mr Matthew Baldwin, Deputy Director-General of DG ENER, on the state of play of the Union’s gas supply situation.

On the 14th of November, the ITRE Committee held an exchange of views with Ms Mechthild Wörsdörfer, Deputy Director-General of DG ENER, on the different options being considered by the European Commission for the upcoming electricity market design reform.
