10 November – 13 November: Plenary session and work in Parliamentary Committees
In the week of 10 November, a plenary session will be held in Brussels. Part of Members' work this week will be in political groups and in Parliamentary Committees. Committees' focal points will include an exchange views on deported Ukrainian children, a debate with Commissioner Micallef on youth, fairness and culture, a hearing on Carbon Capture and Storage and Carbon Capture and Utilisation, a vote on Safer toys for children, and a debate on EU financing in the areas of asylum, migration, border management, visas, and internal security under MFF 2028-2034. A number of public hearings and workshops will take place this week, in particular, a hearing on the Human Rights Situation in Sudan, a workshop on EU LGBTIQ+ equality strategy for 2026-2030, as well as debates on the Role of Women in European Industry and Industrial Transition, on the future of the European automotive industry, and on building an independent, open and healthy digital environment for European consumers. The sixth edition of the European Gender Equality Week will take place from 3 to 9 November 2025. During the first week of November, Parliament's committees, delegations, political groups and administration, as well external stakeholders will organise a host of different events addressing gender equality issues within their areas of competence to mark the European Gender Equality Week.
The Fact Sheets on the EU provide an overview of European integration and of Parliament's contribution to that process. They present a brief summary of the EU's institutions and policies, and of Parliament's role in their development. Available in 24 languages, they cover five main areas: how the EU works; economy, science and quality of life; cohesion, growth and jobs; fundamental rights, security and justice; and the EU's external relations.
