Outcome of the Committee of Inquiry on the Protection of Animals during Transport

On 20 January 2022, the Parliament adopted its final recommendations on the investigation of alleged contraventions and maladministration in the application of Union law in relation to the protection of animals during transport within and outside the Union.
This adoption of this recommendation is the result of 18 months of an unprecedented consultation process through a series of public hearings and exchanges between Members, national parliaments, international organisations and experts.
