On 10 November, ENVI will vote on the draft report by Rapporteur Ondřej Knotek regarding the Commission proposal to amend Regulation (EU) 2021/1119 the European Climate Law, establishing the framework for achieving climate neutrality ('the European Climate Law').

On 11 November 2025, ENVI members will hold an exchange of views with the Commission on financing climate and environment policies under the next Multiannual Financial Framework. On 16 July 2025, the Commission presented its proposal for the new 2028-2034 MFF. The new MFF amounts to almost EUR 2 trillion, or 1.26% of the EU’s average gross national income for 2028-2034. On 3 September 2025, the Commission adopted a second package of sectoral proposals, completing the new MFF.

On 11 November, Commissioner Roswall will present to ENVI Members a proposal amending the EU Deforestation Regulation. Under the Regulation, any operator or trader placing commodities such as palm oil, timber, cocoa, or coffee on the EU market must provide a due diligence statement proving that the products do not originate from recently deforested land or contribute to forest degradation.

On 11 November 2025, ENVI and SANT Members will hold an exchange of views with the Commission on the proposal for a new Union Civil Protection Mechanism and on the funding of civil protection and emergency preparedness under the next MFF. Europe is confronted with a growing range of risks and threats stemming from security, health, climate and environmental challenges. The proposal establishes a framework for civil protection and for financing health emergency preparedness and response.

On 11 November, European Environmental Agency (EEA) will present Trends and projections report for year 2026.

On 11 November 2025, ENVI Members will hold an exchange of views with IPCC Chair Professor Jim Skea in view of international climate conference COP30 in Brazil.

On 4 November 2025, ENVI and AGRI Members voted on an own-initiative report on ensuring faster registration and uptake of biological control agents.

On 4 November 2025, Members voted on the ENVI opinion on the Commission proposal on the Critical Medicines Act adopted on 11 March 2025.

On 20 October, EMPL and ENVI committee discussed Member States’ Social Climate Plans with the Commission under Regulation (EU) 2023/955.
