Structured Dialogue with Executive Vice-President Timmermans

On 22 May, ENVI Members held their annual structured dialogue exchange with Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for the European Green Deal.
During this exchange, the Commissioner took stock of legislative files currently being dealt with by Parliament and Council, such as legislation on substances that deplete the ozone layer, fluorinated greenhouse gases and carbon removals, as well as on Packaging and Packaging Waste and microplastics. He also presented progress on legislative files in the area of zero-pollution as well as progress towards sustainable food systems and biodiversity protection. Additionally, he addressed international developments in the area of climate, with special focus on COP28 and the impact of the war in Ukraine.
