Public Hearing - Empowering women entrepreneurs and investors

On Monday, 19 April 2021, FEMM organized a Public Hearing on "Empowering EU supports for women entrepreneurs and investors, including through MFF 2021-2027".

Improving gender equality and empowering female entrepreneurship are key to accelerating and fortifying European recovery. Women's participation in the labour market and their entrepreneurship create new jobs and boost the EU economy.

The invited speakers were:

- Shiva DUSTDAR, Head of Innovation Finance Advisory Division at European Investment Bank

- Agnieszka WOJDYR, Principal Administrator, Unit C.1 Access to Finance, DG for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, European Commission

- Jara PASCUAL, CEO of Collabwith as well as Co-founder and Managing Director of the Wominvest Observatory

- Claire MUNCK, CEO BeAngels and Managing Partner ScaleFund

This hearing will feed into a future own-initiative report on "Reaching women's economic independence through entrepreneurship and self-employment".
