On 15-16 April 2026, the Members of the JURI Committee met in Brussels to hear the presentation of the JURI Committee`s gender mainstreaming action plan. At the same meeting, Members considered the draft opinion to ITRE's legislative dossier on the Establishment of European Business Wallets (2025/0358(COD)), followed by the reporting back on JURI's Missions to Madrid and Germany (Stuttgart and Heidelberg), that took place in February and March respectively.

On 24 March 2026, the Members of the JURI Committee met in Brussels to vote on Pilot Projects and Preparatory Actions for 'pre-assessment' by the Commission regarding the 2027 budget procedure. JURI Members also held an exchange of views with, in the context of the structured dialogue with the Commission, Executive Vice-President for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy, Stéphane Séjourné, and the Commissioner for Economy and Productivity; Implementation and Simplification, Valdis Dombrovskis.

The European Parliament Coordinator on children’s rights

Guided by the "best interest of the child" principle, the Coordinator works to ensure the promotion and protection of children's rights in all EU policies and legislation. She seeks to assist citizens experiencing parental child abduction and other cross-border family disputes. She advocates closer collaboration with the judicial and administrative bodies and seeks to promote mediation in cross-border family matters.
