Welcome to the website of the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education (CULT), where you will find information about our work such as meeting agendas, draft reports and amendments. You can also find relevant details relating to Committee Members. Our Committee is responsible for all cultural aspects of the Union including cultural heritage, cultural and linguistic diversity and artistic creation. Also under the Committee's remit is the Union's education policy, which includes the European higher education area and promotion of the system of European schools, in addition to lifelong learning. The Committee additionally has a role in developing policy in the key areas of audiovisual, information and media, youth and sports.

The European Parliament plays an equal role with the Member States' governments in adopting new laws and supervising the Union's programmes such as Erasmus+, Creative Europe and European Solidarity Corps' programmes.

It is an honour to be Chair of this important Committee; I will ensure that during the 10th legislature we will work towards a future-oriented strategic agenda and a high-level political coordination of the sectors under our remit
