German Presidency outlines priorities to EP committees

Ministers are outlining the priorities of the German Presidency of the Council of the EU to parliamentary committees, in a series of meetings.

On Tuesday Members of the Culture and Education Committee and representatives of the German presidency debated the EU political priorities in culture, education, media, sports and youth.

The Culture and Education Committee criticised the cuts to education and cultural programmes made by the Commission in its new proposal for the 2021-2027 budget.
