Missions
During its mission to Washington D.C., in the context of the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), the ECON Delegation met with key representatives from the IMF as well as with Congressmen and representatives of the US authorities, leading think tanks, businesses and trade unions. The discussion focused on the global economic and fiscal outlook and financial policy developments.
The standing BUDG-ECON working group on the scrutiny of the implementation of the RRF undertook its second fact-finding mission to Rome. The delegation met with Ministries' officials, the Italian Court of Audit, Members of the Italian Parliament, the Financial Police and various stakeholders, including local and regional authorities, business and workers associations.
During its mission in California, the ECON Delegation met with financial regulators, regional lawmakers, supervisory authorities, financial sector, industry, venture capital firms, institutional investors, Fintech hubs and university. The mission focused on the topic “venture capital” in order to yield insights into financing innovation and draw lessons on building an ecosystem for innovative financing in the EU.
The standing BUDG-ECON working group on the scrutiny of the implementation of the RRF undertook its first fact-finding mission to Athens. The delegation met with representatives of the government, the Hellenic Court of Audit, Members of the Hellenic Parliament and various stakeholders, including local and regional authorities, business and workers associations and academics.
During its mission to Paris, the ECON delegation met the French Finance Minister, the Governor of the Banque de France and the Premier Président of the Cour des comptes, as well as other French government officials, regulatory agencies, businesses, economists and trade unions’ representatives. The ECON delegation also met with the European Banking Authority (EBA), the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
