Meetings with National Parliaments
The European Parliaments' committees may directly engage in a dialogue with national parliaments at committee level. This may include meetings that bring together MPs and MEPs from corresponding committees, to discuss matters of common concern.

On Thursday, 5 March 2026, to celebrate the IWD 2026, the FEMM Committee in collaboration with the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments, organises an inter-parliamentary committee meeting on " Women’s rights and democracy: combating stereotypes, disinformation and violence in the digital age".
On 4–5 February, members of the Joint Parliamentary Scrutiny Group (JPSG) met in Nicosia, Cyprus, to exchange views with Europol, the Commission and national authorities on Europol’s activities, data protection, and the upcoming revision of the Agency’s mandate.

6th Interparliamentary Committee Meeting on the Evaluation of Eurojust's activities
The Committee of Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) has organised together with the Legislative Dialogue Unit of the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments, the 6th interparliamentary committee meeting on "The evaluation of Eurojust activities".
On 24 September 2025, the Committee on Culture and Education had the honuor of hosting the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The FISC Subcommittee in cooperation with the Legislative Dialogue Unit of the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments will organise an Inter-parliamentary Committee Meeting (ICM) on digital taxation on Thursday, 16 October, from 09.45 to 12.30 at the European Parliament, in the Jan Antall building, room 4Q1
The AGRI Committee, in cooperation with the Legislative Dialogue Unit of the Directorate for Relations with national Parliaments, will organise an Interparliamentary Committee Meeting (ICM) on "Vision for Food and Agriculture - Implications at National and EU Level" on Thursday, 25 September, from 09.00 to 12.30 at the European Parliament.
The Committee on Legal Affairs, with the support of the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments (DG PART), organised an Interparliamentary Committee Meeting (ICM) on 'Implementation of the Directive on the Protection of the Environment through Criminal Law'. The event took place on 4 June 2025, from 14:30 to 16:30.
The European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI), in collaboration with the Legislative Dialogue Unit of the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments, held an interparliamentary committee meeting with national parliaments on the topic: "Coordination between the EU and its Member States in Strengthening the EU’s Role at the UN and Exchanging Best Practices in the Human Rights Field."
ICM on the occasion of International Women's Day (IWD) 2025 - 6 March On Thursday, 6 March 2025, to celebrate the IWD 2025, the FEMM Committee, in collaboration with the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments, organised an inter-parliamentary committee meeting on "Strengthening the Women, Peace and Security Agenda – Upholding Women’s Rights in Defence, Security and Peace Building”.
On 19 February, Committee on Foreign Affairs will host its first Interparliamentary Committee Meeting of the new legislative term. Over 40 members of national parliaments will be present to exchange views with AFET members. There will be two sessions, focusing on transatlantic relations in challenging times and the role of the European Union in an increasingly multipolar world. Rosa Balfour (Carnegie Europe) and Jim Cloos (TEPSA) will be the keynote speakers in the respective sessions.
