The Policy Department for Economic, Scientific and Quality of Life Policies organises a workshop to present two studies: a study on 'Harmful tax practices within the EU' and a study on 'Sectors with large tax gaps: case study on professional football'.

The first study on 'Harmful tax practices within the EU: definition, identification and recommendations' seeks to provide a tool for understanding the phenomenon of harmful tax competition within the EU and contains recommendations for future EU standards.
The second study on 'Sectors with large tax gaps: case study on professional football' examines the different tax regimes of football players in various Member States (BE, DE, ES, FR, IT, NL and PT) and makes suggestions on which role the European institutions can play in this context, while providing some recommendations.
