The Committee on Legal Affairs, with the support of the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments (DG PART), organised an Interparliamentary Committee Meeting (ICM) on 'Implementation of the Directive on the Protection of the Environment through Criminal Law'. The event took place on 4 June 2025, from 14:30 to 16:30.

Members of the JURI committee and national parliaments of EU Member States had the opportunity to discuss the Environmental Crime Directive and its upcoming transposition into national law. This initiative aimed to strengthen cooperation between the European Parliament and national parliaments, providing a platform to exchange views on Member States' experiences and to assess the current state of transposition across the EU.
