On Tuesday 30 May 2023, ING2 Members will jointly with AFCO Members dive deeper into the different rules of democratic institutions on transparency, integrity, accountability and anti-corruption, in order to formulate recommendations to strengthen Parliament's own rules on these aspects.
The Special Committee will first hold a joint hearing with the AFCO Committee on "Democratic institutions and rules on transparency, integrity, accountability and anti-corruption", inviting experts and representatives from prominent bodies, such as GRECO and the French Haute Autorité pour la transparence de la vie publique (HATVP), and as well the EU Ombudsman. The hearing will be followed by a presentation of the in-depth analysis as commissioned by the committee on "Mapping best practices on transparency, integrity, accountability and anti-corruption".
