Upcoming INTA meetings

The next INTA Committee meeting is scheduled to take place on 26-27 April 2023.

Highlights

A delegation of seven Members of the Committee on International Trade (INTA) and the Chair of the Delegation for relations with South Africa will travel to Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town between 3 and 7 April 2023.

Commission Executive-Vice President Dombrovskis will dialogue with INTA Members about his commitments as Trade Commissioner and about the Commission's work program to enact the EU's trade policy agenda. In a separate debate, the EVP will brief Members on EU-US trade relations, including trade related aspects of the deal reached on the Inflation Reduction Act.

At the upcoming meeting of the INTA Committee, Members will discuss the WTO Fisheries Agreement with Angela Ellard, Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The agreement requires the European Parliament's consent. INTA is responsible for preparing the European Parliament's position.
