Hearings

A committee is permitted to organise a hearing with experts, where this is considered essential to its work on a particular subject. Hearings can also be held jointly by two or more committees. Most committees organise regular hearings, as they allow them to hear from experts and hold discussions on the key issues. ENVI ITRE

On Tuesday 22 September 2020, from 9.00 - 12.00, ENVI and ITRE held a joint public online hearing on the critical issue of "How to secure access to COVID-19 vaccines for EU citizens."

On 23 January 2020, from 10:30 to 12:30, the ITRE Committee held a public hearing on the Strategic Planning of Horizon Europe with a focus on the Missions and Partnerships. This hearing was organised in light of the current work towards the design of these large funding priorities for Horizon Europe and the finalisation of the first Strategic Plan of the next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
