LIBE Security Dialogue with the Commission

In the LIBE meeting of 16 November Members held a security dialogue with Ylva Johansson, Commissioner for Home Affairs and with participation of the German Presidency on Police information exchange and in particular the future developments regarding Prüm and the API Council Directive. The Commissioner also touched upon the recent terrorist attacks and the ways to combat terrorism.
Afterwards, the draft resolution on the EU Security Union Strategy was presented by the Rapporteur, Mr Juan Fernando López Aguilar (S&D).
