This public hearing informed IMCO's work on the report of Ms Comi on the same subject which is drafted in response to the Commission's Upgrading the Single Market Strategy. Discussions which will be devoted to "creating more opportunities for consumers, professionals and businesses, and boosting enforcement" and to “encouraging and enabling the modernisation and innovation that Europe needs”.
