Altiero Spinelli Building room 3E2

The Committee on Constitutional Affairs organised a public hearing entitled “Lessons to be drawn from the 2019 elections and proposals in view of the debate concerning the Future of Europe”, which took place on 4 December 2019, at the European Parliament in Brussels.
In this hearing the Committee heard the views of a number of experts, representatives of the EU institutions (European Commission and Parliament), as well as its consultative bodies (European Economic and Social Committee and European Committee of Regions). They reflected on the lessons to be drawn from the 2019 elections. Furthermore, they also discussed proposals in the context of the debate on the Future of Europe and the envisaged multi-stakeholder Conference on this issue, which should start its work in the course of 2020.
