Public Hearing with Elke König, Chair of the SRB

Elke König, Chair of the Single Resolution Board, made her second appearance of 2022 before the ECON committee, on Wednesday, 13th July, 14:30 – 15:30. She presented the annual report covering the SRB's activities in 2021, which was published on 27 June.
She and MEPs exchanged on the prospects for the crisis management framework in the light of the June Eurogroup discussion, on requirements as regards smaller banks in particular and on the effects on the banking sector of the war in Ukraine.
