Workshop on “Electronic Technologies for Fisheries“

On 11 November 2021, the Policy Department for Structural and Cohesion Policies held a workshop on "Electronic Technologies for Fisheries" at the PECH Committee meeting.
During the last years emerging so-called 'Electronic technologies' (ETs) as supporting tools for fisheries management and control, but also fisheries science and fishers themselves play an ever greater role for the sector. During this PECH Workshop, existing applications of ET systems for European fisheries will be discussed under three different angles: transmitted positional data systems, electronic monitoring systems and systems adapted for small-scale vessels.
