A delegation of 7 Members of the Special Committee on Beating Cancer, including Chair Bartosz Arłukowicz and Rapporteur Véronique Trillet-Lenoir, travelled to Geneva and Lyon on 3 - 4 November 2021. They met with public health experts, academics, researchers and health care professionals to see what is being done on the ground to step up the fight against cancer, not least in the context of the current pandemic, which has affected cancer prevention and care greatly.

The European Parliament Special Committee on Beating Cancer (BECA), in cooperation with the Legislative Dialogue Unit of the Directorate for Relations with national Parliaments, invited Members of national Parliaments of the EU Member States to a virtual Interparliamentary Committee Meeting (ICM) on Monday 27 September 2021 to discuss the fight against cancer in Europe.
