On 23 September 2024, from 16.00-17.00, ECON Members will hold a public hearing with the Chair of the Single Resolution Board, Dominique Laboureix.

On 23 September 2024, from 15:00 to 16:00, Piero Cipollone, Member of the ECB Executive Board, will present to the ECON Committee an update on the developments of the digital euro project. The digital euro project was launched in July 2021 and is currently in the "preparation phase" which will last until October 2025.

Members from the Committee on Budgets and the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs will hold the first Recovery and Resilience Dialogue (RRD) of the new term with Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President responsible for an Economy that Works for People, also in charge of Trade, and Paolo Gentiloni, Commissioner for Economy.

On 2 September 2024, from 16.00 to 17.00, ECON Committee held an exchange of views with the Chair of the IFRS Foundation, Erkki Liikanen, the Chair of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), Andreas Barckow, and the Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), Emmanuel Faber.

On 2 September 2024, from 15.00 to 16.00, ECON Committee held a public hearing with Claudia Buch, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the ECB.
