The Committee on Agricultural and Rural Development will discuss ways to prevent worsening of global hunger with the Executive Director of the World Food Programme on 30 June. They will also debate on the CAP information policy with the Commission, and hear briefing on the recent mission to the Polish-Ukrainian border. The Committee will also adopt its opinion on the 8th Cohesion Report, and consider amendments to the draft report on a long-term vision for the EU Rural Areas.

The Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety will hold an exchange with Health and Food Safety Commissioner Kyriakides on sustainable use of pesticides, on 30 June. On the same day, Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Commissioner Sinkevičius will hold a structured dialogue with the Committee, where he will present the latest Commission’s proposal on nature restoration goals and on the oceans governance communication.

The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs will hold a hearing with Mr Andrea Enria, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the ECB, on 30 June. Mr Enria will give an update on the impact of the war in Ukraine on the banking sector and the effects on the supervisory work. He also will elaborate on the reform agenda for banking legislation, in particular on the Banking Package 2021 (CRR III/ CRD VI) and on the further development of the crisis management framework and of the banking union.

The Committee on Legal Affairs will hear reports from trilogues on corporate sustainability reporting Directive and vote on the outcome of the negotiations on 30 June. The Committee will also consider the amendments to the opinion on establishing a framework for a European Digital Identity. Finally, the Members will hold an exchange of views on Transparency and targeting of political advertising.

The Special Committee on Foreign Interference in all Democratic Processes in the European Union, including Disinformation (ING2) will welcome Ms Věra Jourová, Vice-President for Values and Transparency, on 30 June. Members will discuss, together with Members from the Committees on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection, Culture and Education, Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and Constitutional Affairs, what steps the Commission has taken since the adoption of the INGE report.
