At the ITRE Committee meeting of 15 April, ITRE Members will have a topical debate on advanced manufacturing, in the presence of European Commission representatives.

On 16 April 2026, the ITRE Committee will host the Energy Community Parliamentary Plenum, bringing together ITRE Members and parliamentarians from Energy Community Contracting Parties (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine).

At the ITRE Committee meeting of 24 March, ITRE members engaged in a debate with Mr Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy, within the framework of the Committee's structured dialogue with the European Commission.

At the ITRE Committee meeting of 23 March, ITRE Members had a topical debate on ending all dependence on Russian nuclear energy, in the presence of a representative from DG ENER, as well as a representative of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

At the ITRE Committee meeting of 23 March, ITRE members engaged in a debate with Ms Ekaterina Zaharieva, Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation, within the framework of the Committee's structured dialogue with the European Commission.

At the joint SANT-ITRE Committee meeting of 19 March, Olivér Várhelyi, Commissioner for Health and Animal Welfare, presented the European Biotech Act. This was followed by a Q&A session with Members.
