Revision of the Treaties - vote - 29.11.22

On Tuesday, 29 November 2022, the FEMM Committee voted on the proposals for amendments of the Treaties.
Through 23 compromise amendments, the Rapporteur Lina Galvez Muñoz proposes to substitute gender terminology in the Treaties, enshrine SRHR and abortion in the Charter, transfer to the EU the competences to legislate on discriminations of all kinds and define new areas of offences and sanctions (GBV), achieve gender parity within the institutions and put lawmaking, budget and governance at the service of gender equality.
